Synopsis

Coconut Cowboys is an half hour docu-series about MIKE MEDUS, an arborist who owns a small but lucrative tree trimming company, STARFARMS, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.  Coconut Cowboys is not your mainstream “dangerous job” show like Deadliest Catch or Axe Men as we only follow StarFarms and the Coconut Cowboys crew who form a diverse “Ohana” (Hawaiian term: the family you choose).

Each job presents new and extraordinary obstacles that Mike and his crew must overcome to get the job done right and on time but more importantly without getting hurt or worse, dead.  Every crew member is responsible for not only their own safety but for the safety of everyone else. One mistake can cost someone their life.

StarFarms has over 500 clients on the island.  At the age of 35, Mike has a lucrative business with no signs of slowing down and one goal consistently on his mind - to make $1,000,000 a year trimming coconut trees in Hawaii.  However, he has a long way to go. Making your 1st million is always the hardest.  

Plot Outline

Episode 1

NORFOLK PINE/COCNUT REMOVAL | Waimanalo Bay

Cut down 85ft Norfolk pine & 65ft Palm Tree without damaging property or getting killed

• Cutting the crown

• Finish early for bonus job

Episode 2

MANGO TREES/ THEO'S HOUSE | Kaneohe, Kailua

Multi-job day delays Mike, but saves his life. If he showed up on time to Theo's ... he would be dead.

POLO FIELDS | North Shore
